It is a great honour for us to welcome you to the 13th International Conference on Webometrics, Informetrics, and Scientometrics (WIS) and the 18th COLLNET Meeting 2017 which will be held from 9 to 11 July 2017 in Kent Business School, University of Kent, Canterbury, UK.
Metric-based analysis and evaluation on research outputs has been a focus of attention at governments, universities and research institutes across the world.
COLLNET 2017 thus aims to contribute to evidence-based and informed knowledge about scientific research and practices which in turn may further provide input to institutional, regional, national and international research and innovation policy making.
COLLNET 2017 will be an excellent occasion to discuss collaboration and communication in science and technology; science policy; and combination and integration of qualitative and quantitative approaches in the study of scientific practices, for both researchers and practitioners to share experiences, ideas, research results and real world issues.
Kent Business School has a long tradition in informetrics and scientometrics as well as in science and technology studies. We are looking forward to hosting the conference and welcoming you to Kent. Take an active part in this conference– an excellent opportunity for presenting and discussing your research results and concerns, for gaining insights in new research opportunities, and – last but not least – for meeting friends and colleagues!
Looking forward to meeting you in Canterbury -
Prof Martin Meyer, Program Chair Prof Steve Wenbin Liu, Program Co-Chair
